SWOT analysis-SWOT分析

SWOT analysis summarises the key issues from ① the business environment and ② the strategic capability of an organization that are most likely to impact on strategy development.

It can be used by organization to guide strategy formulation from identifying:

Its own strengths and weaknesses (internal appraisals).

The opportunities and threats presented by the wider macro environment (external appraisals).

SWOT analysis can assist the performance management process by:

Identifying shortcoming or limiting factors that needs to be considered.

Identifying CSFs which will allow KPIs to be created.

Determining the information needs of the business

Setting priorities which will allow strategic objectives to be developed that are attainable given current and future resource level.

Provide valuable guide to the performance management process.

Focus management on capturing measures that allow them assess strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats, therefore making informed strategic decisions.
